Today marks 100 years since the closing of Canada's First World War Internment Camps, where 8,600 internees were held between 1914-1920. There were Ukrainians, Alevi Kurds, Armenians, Bulgarians, Croatians, Czechs, Germans, Hungarians, Italians, Jews, Ottoman Turks, Polish, Romanians, Russians, Serbians, Slovaks and Slovenes.
